Nice find!
I just reviewed the HDFS ACLs code to see if we've got the same bug there, but
it looks fine. ACLs do preserve the sticky bit as necessary. (Relevant code
is in {{org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.namenode.AclStorage}}.
