#6840 marked the `/tables/validateTableAndSchema` endpoint as deprecated without offering the same behavior elsewhere. That PR mentions validating a table should require the schema already exist, but that seems unwanted for many use cases. Users will likely want to create their schemas and tables together, so validating them at the same time before creation is reasonable. I can only think of 2 solutions here: - we remove the `@deprecated` annotation from `/tables/validateTableAndSchema` - we allow users to pass a schema into `/tables/validate` and use that first and fall back to an existing schema -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
