cc: @shauryachats who will be working on this. We'll be making the following improvements to the multiStageReplicaGroup instance selector. 1. Change granularity of unavailability from replica-group to a partition in a replica-group. 2. Ensure existing query options like preferred replica-group ordering and useFixedReplicaGroup are supported. There have also been talks about supporting queries against a fixed replica-group configured in the query options. We'll also evaluate the same. 3. Re-evaluate integration with adaptive server selector. AFAIK the current strategy doesn't really work with that feature but it needs to be verified. 4.
