It is being ignored because `tableMaxNumTasks` is set to `-1` In this case, it will run only one task and uses desiredSegmentSize You can set it to a positive value and `taskMaxNumFiles` will start getting honoured I'll update the documentation to make it more clear. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
