BackendArchitectX opened a new pull request, #20686: URL: https://github.com/apache/druid/pull/20686
## Summary Addresses #20682 by separating projection existence validation from servable projection matching. When a named projection exists in segment metadata but its bundle is not servable, it should be reported as not satisfying the query rather than as nonexistent. ## Changes - Add a `findMatchingProjection` overload accepting a projection-existence predicate. - Preserve the existing filtering and ordering of servable projection candidates. - Validate named projection existence against the complete segment metadata. - Extend regression coverage for missing, unservable, incompatible, forced and disabled projections. ## Verification Executed locally on Ubuntu 24.04 with OpenJDK 25.0.4.1. - 364 tests, 0 failures, 0 errors, 28 skipped. - Checkstyle: 0 violations. - Forbidden APIs: 0 errors across production and test classes. - PMD: passed. This is an alternative implementation to #20685, retaining the existing servable-candidate filtering logic while separating existence validation. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
