Sorry for the change in direction after the work you have already put into this PR and the earlier design discussions. After reconsidering the implementation, I think the durable asynchronous job framework adds too much complexity for the initial index lifecycle support. Let's implement synchronous SQL execution first, while retaining BE worker resource isolation and bounded concurrency. Please hold off on the dispatcher in its current form and align the implementation with the simplified direction, including removing the durable job infrastructure we have already introduced. The updated scope and rationale are in this issue comment: https://github.com/apache/doris/issues/66497#issuecomment-6053021847 This approach still leaves room for distributed index construction later; synchronous SQL does not require single-worker execution.
