Patches are ready for all four affected branches. Scope:
- **cassandra-4.0** and **cassandra-4.1**: Full backport of CASSANDRA-17810
(root cause fix + improved error messages). Replaces the silent
\{{CheckForAbort.stop()}} with a \{{QueryCancelledException}} thrown on
timeout, so callers discard partial responses rather than serializing broken
iterators. Also improves the \{{RTBoundValidator}} error message to include the
partition key and open marker deletion time.
- **cassandra-5.0** and **trunk**: Wording-only — spells out "RT" as "Range
Tombstone" in error messages. CASSANDRA-17810 already handles the root cause on
these branches.
