The project uses rex_pcre2, but CI still installs the removed PCRE1 packages libpcre3 and libpcre3-dev. On the current Ubuntu 26.04 runner this fails before the tests start. Install libpcre2-dev in both the test and benchmark jobs instead. The extracted source passes 175 tests on Lua 5.1–5.4 and LuaJIT with PCRE2; no runtime dependency or supported Lua version is changed. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
