Closing this as not planned. The project later discussed bringing Camel processors into connectors (#1044) and decided against it: CKC stays a thin layer between Kafka Connect and Camel. Custom per-record logic fits best in a plain Kafka Connect SMT, and logic that needs Camel processors is better built with Apache Camel directly.
