We just had the same issue regarding additional code. Almost cancelled camel-k for spring/quarkus with camel as the development flow was not a good experience and Maven/Jitpack was not an option (enterprise). If then found more of a hack, by building a jar file, providing it as a resource and loading it with the classpath but at least my route files are not not 1000 lines of code ;) I build a example for anyone interested https://github.com/dweber019/camel-k-jar -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
