Hm, haven't thought of that as the pydata sphinx theme now includes a newline. But sounds reasonable. I could update the post release stript for the documentation in a way, that newlines would be removed and so all the versions would have the same structure. It should update the stable docs to not include newline when they are moved into a subfolder in the next release.
