+- Update to 0.12.0 (upstream tag v0.12.0, 2026-10-28):
+ * UI: port to egui 0.37, several open documents with
+ per-document recovery and naming, View > New Window, task
+ panes dock left or right or float, filter-as-you-type command
+ search, File > Info custom document properties, mini toolbar
+ marks the alignment seen on the page.
+ * Formats: open AES-encrypted Word files, LaTeX genfrac import,
+ RTF soft breaks and zero-width spaces, Markdown code spans and
+ HTML comments, ODT metadata, Arabic-Indic digits and letter
+ numbering, regex Replace expands capture groups, AutoFormat
+ double-space period, style sets keep document styles, scale all
+ style font sizes at once, Tab indents a whole selection.
+ * Layout and export: faster layout and PDF export (plain-text
+ fast paths, kept-heading layout once), justified lines ending
+ in a manual break stretch, bookmark/no-break-space fixes.
+ * Hardening: bounds on layout, proofing, render/PDF/metafile,
+ font ingestion, DOCX writer, MCP stdio and engine authority
+ checks (no CVE IDs assigned upstream).
+ * Re-vendor with update=true (670 crates, up from 649): egui
+ 0.36.2 to 0.37.0 with accesskit bumps, new self-update and
+ installer stack (ureq, zip, plist, time, verifysign) and the
+ craft-libs split (craft-update, craft-window,
+ craft-fonts-build). All 53 added crates are permissive
+ (MIT/Apache-2.0/BSD-3-Clause); no new copyleft, so the License
+ tag is unchanged. cargo_vendor's lockfile audit is clean.
+- Update the fixed metainfo release date to 2026-10-28.
+- Disable the upstream self-updater
+ (wordcraft-no-self-update.patch): no startup check, no install
+ prompt over RPM files; the manual Help check outcome stays.

+ drop unused [patch.crates-io] pins the vendor omits

From: openSUSE Publishing <[email protected]>
Subject: [PATCH] Drop unused egui patch pins so the offline vendor build
resolves
Bug: none (downstream build fix, upstreamable as cleanup)

Upstream pins four egui crates (egui_demo_lib, egui_extras,
egui_inspection, egui_system_font_provider) in [patch.crates-io] that
nothing in the workspace uses (Cargo.lock lists all four under
[[patch.unused]]). cargo_vendor therefore omits them from vendor.tar.zst,
and any --offline/--locked resolve against the vendor directory fails
with "patch location ... does not contain packages matching ...".
Drop the four unused pins (plus their [[patch.unused]] lock stanzas,
so --locked stays satisfied); the [[package]] set is unchanged.

From: openSUSE Publishing <[email protected]>
Subject: [PATCH] No self-update in distro builds: no startup check, no install
prompt
Bug: none (downstream distribution policy, not upstreamable)

The package manager owns updates on a distro install: do not phone
home to the releases page on every GUI launch, and never offer to
install an upstream release (UPDATE-AND-RESTART) over RPM-owned
files. Upstream ships this machinery intentionally for its own
builds. Help ▸ Check for Updates stays as an explicit manual action
reporting through its outcome window; only the automatic startup
check and the self-update install prompt are turned off.
