So far we have *zero* node instances, and only use S3. Restricting images with a token is well understood (we've done it since day one for the RHEL images, which cannot be freely distributed). If you have precedence for how to put Anubis and an S3 auth proxy in front of an S3 bucket, that'd be great. Doing that on a Linode instance would be great traffic wise, but maintaining a node is super annoying (TLS, keeping it secure, etc) -- so we'll instead deploy this into our CentOS CI kubernetes cluster. I'll work on this some more in the next days.
