Hey all. It is always amazing when the Monte Refuge turns on the water. It 
seems the birds spring out of the grassy sod overnight! So as water is 
spread about, the birds have shown up with a few thousand cranes, Canada 
and Cackling Geese, Pintail, Mallard and GW teal. 

At least one Great Horned Owl is on nest. 

Nice to see the cranes return as always!
