Thanks Dennis. I need to do something similar with my nicro solar vent. Where did you buy the motor and do you know the rpm of the new motor. When i replaced the old (6years) battery which I proved was shot because I noticed the unit worked well on just the solar panel in the sun with no battery installed but it has not worked at all since I tried to make things better with a shot of fluid film at the shaft motor interface so likely that killed the motor.
