We have been installing our S1 Wheelpilot from Corsair (Redwing 35/C&C 35-1) in Grace (C&C 35-3).  One of the challenges has been to install the rudder sensor.  I built a platform to mount the sensor and finally gained access to the port side rudder support braces by removing the scupper hose (it came out pretty easy).  I tried to gain access from the starboard side but my shoulders are too wide to get in far enough to make it work.

Anyways, I finally got the platform mounted and just had enough room to get the sensor on the platform.  I mounted the Flux Gate Compass under the navigation table on the bulkhead opposite the port water tank.  The Autopilot controller is mounted on back surface of the box surrounding the galley drawers.  Still need to wire for power and add the seatalk cable up to the control unit. I tried to drill into the pedestal guard with titanium oxide coated drill bits and the stainless laughed at it.  I will go to Harbor Freight and get a set of cobalt bits.  I also need to route the drive motor power cable (not sure if there is enough room in the pedestal guard to get all the wiring in ( I still need to add my Garmin GPS 276C cable as well).
