If this [0] is the current code, I also could not get it to build on Xubuntu 15.10. FindPkgConfig.cmake failed with "package 'glfw3' not found" at line 506 (_pkg_check_modules_internal).
Running pkg-config --modversion glfw3 returns 3.1.1.
