Similarly with 2.8.1-rc3:
before PROJECT
CMAKE_SOURCE_DIR=C:/Users/davidcole/Desktop/b
CMAKE_BINARY_DIR=C:/Users/davidcole/Desktop/b/c
after PROJECT
CMAKE_SOURCE_DIR=C:/Users/davidcole/Desktop/b
