You are missing a $ :
set( CMAKE_MODULE_PATH "${CMAKE_SOURCE_DIR}/cmake" )
To prepend, use this construct:
set( CMAKE_MODULE_PATH "${CMAKE_SOURCE_DIR}/cmake" ${CMAKE_MODULE_PATH})
