Hi:
I need cmake > 2.4.2 for a project.
I'm on ubuntu. First I installed the cmake I have in the dapper
repository: apt-get install cmake
That installs 2.2 successfully:
# cmake
cmake version 2.2-patch 3
...
Now, I follow the instructions of Install page
(http://cmake.org/HTML/Install.html) and with cmake 2.4.7 downloaded and
untar I run "cmake ."
but it shows this:
7# cmake .

The C compiler "/usr/bin/gcc" is not able to compile a simple test program.
It fails with the following output:
