Yes, Planck uses a decent amount of Apple's Objective-C runtime for the native 
OS interop.

I've been pondering switching it to a more portable language. The open source 
Swift compiler might lead to an easy path to other operating systems, but I 
haven't yet put any real effort into attempting a port.
