lein-beanstalk v0.2.1 — a Leiningen plugin providing deployment functionality
to Amazon's Elastic Beanstalk service — has been released to clojars.
[lein-beanstalk "0.2.1"]
The biggest change is that lein-beanstalk now looks for AWS credentials in
~/.lein/init.clj, instead of requiring that credentials be put into one's
project.clj. Details can be seen here:
https://github.com/weavejester/lein-beanstalk
Hopefully this will help keep credentials out of source control, and especially
out of public source control like github!
***
BTW, if you maintain a Leiningen plugin that asks to have credentials in the
project.clj [you know how you are!], please work on getting the same kind of
change out into the hands of your users so you can save them the embarrassment
and potential real damages associated with credentials getting out into the
wild.
(Message cross-posted largely to get this message out as widely as possible. :-)
***
If you see any issues with the release, please feel free to ping me here or
@cemerick in irc and on Twitter.
Cheers,
- Chas
