You could use defonce to define an atom to back the session storage. e.g.
(require 'ring.middleware.session.memory)
(defonce memory (atom {}))
(def app
(-> main-routes
(wrap-session {:store (memory-store memory)}))
Perhaps session memory-stores need to use defonce by default.
