I've heard of TIJ, but didn't realize it was on-line.

I'm of two minds about learning Java. On one hand I know C#, so it
probably would not be much of a stretch to extend that to a
proficiency in Java. On the other hand what I really want to learn is
Clojure, but the semantics and available libraries of Clojure inherit
from the Java gene pool. I have certain lack of patience that makes
learning the Java platform tedious, and strong desire to know what I'm
doing that makes just diving into Clojure frustrating.

Thanks for the links. I thinks there is a happy medium in there
somewhere.
