As someone with quite a few ss7box/SMG installations around the world
the only thing thats really required is a working chan_woomera for
SMG to work. I'm very interested in migrating these customers to CW
initially, and possibly FS later on down on the road.
Sangoma is very responsive to support issues related to SMG, so we
should be able to get the changes done (if any are needed) relatively
quickly.
Shameless blurb: Our largest single SMG deployment (GSM Carrier
Mobile Number Portability) is now doubling their sites from 16E1 to
32E1, after most successfuly pilot tests.

hi all
asterisk has 2-3 different methods for ss7 support, and cw
currently has none. however, I emailed Sangoma and asked them about
the ss7box implementation they support for */fs/yate, and was told
it should work fine with cw as well:
hi there
we're in the process of migrating our asterisk servers to
callweaver, an asterisk fork (formerly openpbx.org). will your
ss7box solution be available to callweaver as well as the other
systems?
Hi Roy,
There was complete compatibility when the app was called OpenPBX.
There is a minor amount of work which needs to be done for
CallWeaver to plug into SS7box as a media gateway. The work
involves re-labeling some lines of code- less than a few hours
worth of work with one of my developers.
