Hi, Camilla and me have done a ton of work on the Qt5 branch -- and we've got Words at least starting up and showing a document -- but it's pretty clear that this won't be ready for a general release in four months. Especially since kexi, krita, plan, braindump and karbon haven't been ported at all yet. I'm going to write a separate mail on that topic.
So I wanted to propose adding a 2.8 release following the usual release schedule to our release plan. There's a ton of improvements in Krita alone and it looks like we'll have some nice additions to Words as well.
