okias on #calligra proposed to use xz instead of bzip2, he/she said that with -9e the tar.xz tarball would be just 115M, so vs. the 161M of the current tar.bz2 just 70 % of the current size. Given that the KDE SC tarballs are all tar.xz ones these days* really something to consider (and not only for the Gentooers out there :) ). * http://download.kde.org/stable/4.10.3/src/ Any reasons against using xz known?
