Right, consistency with other KDE applications is important, even if we have 
never seen the HIGs finished. Not having the option in menu looks like a lesser 
evil to me. Moreover I have feeling that KDE apps will change these defaults 
while heading to what would be KDE 5; e.g. see the QMLish interfaces promoted 
by Nuno, modernized Dolphin menu and finally -- possible influence of Plasma 
Active on KDE _desktop_. If that's close to reality, we could target the future 
of KDE and make reasonable improvements aimed more at usability improvements 
than on compliance. I believe these improvements would pay off regardless of 
how KDE 5 will 'look' like.
