from looking at the code I think what you want to do is to call
KoStore::disallowNameExpansion to get your desired behaviour. Form the
description:
/**
* Do not expand file and directory names
* Useful when using KoStore on non-Calligra files.
* (This method should be called just after the constructor)
*/
