Hi! The seventh plugfest will be in Gouda, the Netherlands, November 17/18 (http://www.opendocsociety.org/news/gouda-odf-plugfest/) . By then, Calligra should be in a good shape to compete again -- we're tagging our release candidate the 18th, if everything goes according to plan!
Michiel tells me this plugfest will be a bit bigger than normal, with many big players in the Netherlands visiting to see the progress everyone's made, as well as lots of people from Abiword.
