Scott Cantor resolved XERCESC-2087.
-----------------------------------
       Resolution: Invalid
    Fix Version/s:     (was: 3.1.5)
                       (was: 3.2.0)

False alarm, appears that it is in fact throwing a checked exception, so all
good.

> Crash in regular expression class
> ---------------------------------
>
>                 Key: XERCESC-2087
>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESC-2087
>             Project: Xerces-C++
>          Issue Type: Bug
>          Components: Miscellaneous
>    Affects Versions: 3.1.0, 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 3.1.4
>            Reporter: Scott Cantor
>            Priority: Critical
>
> There's a crash in the RegularExpression class triggerable with at least this
> expression:
> {code}
> ^(?:canterbury.ac.nz|idp3test.ac.nz)$
> {code}
> Whether the non-capturing syntax is actually supported is moot, the crash is
> the concern.
