A small drop of Noalox on the treads of the connector will disperse as the SO
barrel is screwed on, providing the necessary protection.

Nolax will short the center to the braid. UHF connectors are not sealed…

Thanks All for the feedback.
I got a bottle of Noalox coming!
My concern was keeping continuity in the shield.
This weekend I broke down some coax that’s been up for awhile and it was seized
to the point I had to cut the connectors. As they’re expensive I’d rather avoid
having to do that again.

Dielectric grease is a non-conductive, silicone-based grease used to protect
electrical connections from moisture, corrosion, and dirt. It acts as a
lubricant, sealant, and insulator, enhancing the reliability and longevity of
electrical components.
What you need is NOALOX , which will provide a good electrical connection for
the coax shield, weather protection, and make removal easier when a change is
required.

All,
Does anyone have a recommendation for a conductive thread lubricant for coax
connectors?
Something I can add to threads to prevent seizing and then wrap with weather
tape once assembled.
