A company has been issued an experimental license, that originally threatened 220 MHz in California but NOW, they've gotten an expanded grant that covers other areas such as Spring TX and 644km radius with narrow and wideband operation in the 144 to 148 MHz range at 1KW ERP! This could cause a user on a 2m repeater to be wiped out for 20secs at a time and not know what is causing it! The grant says any interference they cause to licensed users but we know how that would go. Funny the FCC did require the company to contact and coordinate with the SBE for RPU band operations, as well as licensed users in the Paging and other services but threw us hams under the bus. Spread the word!! This is an attack on our VHF bands that won't stop unless we raise enough hell now!
