Amar Takhar commented on a discussion: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/582#note_126483 The tags are convenience purposes only there is no other process we can follow it's this or we leave the tags out. FreeBSD has been using this method for over 40 years though they don't use GitLab. I wouldn't worry about the bottleneck these don't get updated often if they do we can figure it out then but this is the entire reason Git tags were created. Over 30,000 tags: * https://gitlab.com/FreeBSD/freebsd-src/-/tags?sort=updated_desc&search=vendor Again, these are for convenience and there is _no other way_ to do it. It is how RTEMS release tags work as well. It doesn't matter if they show up later or if we forget though I would like to not forget. -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/582#note_126483 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
