The following issue is due on 2025-02-12:
Issue 91: #91 Author: Christian Mauderer Assignee: Amar Takhar The logo for the https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/prequal group is not optimal from my point of view: - It has a bit of a negative connotation. - It is much more complex than most other logos. - It seems to be public domain in the US. But I'm not sure about other countries. For example in Germany the copyright is death of the author + 70 years. So in theory there could still be copyright on the image if the author lived long enough. Assumed source for the current logo: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Headscratcher.png Maybe alternatives could be: - "Verified" Icon from the Google fonts: https://fonts.google.com/icons?selected=Material+Symbols+Outlined:verified:FILL@0;wght@400;GRAD@0;opsz@24&icon.query=approve&icon.size=24&icon.color=%235f6368 * According to the FAQ useable for private and commercial projects * Very simple shape (good match for some of the other icons) - I put together an alternative icon in the RTEMS colors: https://gist.github.com/c-mauderer/528f59e7f7b4e9f059f01c9a53f3abfd - I created that myself. So license would be no problem. I can add any license that would be useable for the RTEMS project (for example CC0). PS: I'm not 100% sure whether this is the right group for this issue. But the logos are set up by the gitlab administrators, so I hope it's not completely wrong. -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/administration/gitlab/-/issues/91 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
