Summary: man page info.1 is nearly useless Project: texinfo - GNU documentation system Submitted by: danpritts Submitted on: Tuesday 08/12/2008 at 19:59 Category: info Release: 4.12 Priority: 5 - Normal Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: doc Privacy: Public Open/Closed: Open Assigned to: None Status: None Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: Hi, Just struggling with weird behavior in find and went looking through the texinfo doc for find. I was reminded of how hard it's always been for me to grok the "info" program. So I broke down and looked at the manual page...which told me nothing about how to actually use the program. Nothing about the keybindings, what a texinfo document is, etc. Giving a brief summary of the useful command keys would go a long way. Looking at your NEWS it looks like you've made some strides to make info easier to use for the uninitiated, which i applaud, thank you very much. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?24052> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
