It should work with any C compiler that supports the C89 standard.
I was looking for this sort of answer before. I have been doing testing
with std=iso9899:1999 and so that is wrong.
Say what? I'm sure GNU Make is also designed to work with C99, with C11, with
C18, and with C2x whenever it comes out.
