Summary: FR: strict variable substitution Project: make Submitted by: None Submitted on: Thu 21 Feb 2019 08:38:59 PM UTC Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Enhancement Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Component Version: None Operating System: None Fixed Release: None Triage Status: None _______________________________________________________ Details: Implement an option to fail recipes on undefined variable references (similar to bash's nounset option). I'm sure it can't be default, so would need to be enabled with an option. Would prefer an option that can be set inside the makefile, like a pseudo-target (".NOUNSET:" or something) (as opposed to a command-line flag). _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?55757> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Bug-make mailing list Bug-make@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-make
