Summary: Patch Project: make Submitted by: esantoro Submitted on: mar 13 ott 2015 18:19:44 GMT Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Enhancement Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Component Version: 4.1 Operating System: Any Fixed Release: None Triage Status: None _______________________________________________________ Details: Hi! I implemented a patch for GNU Make providing the value of the -j command line option via the #J variable inside the Makefile (I implemented the #J variable). It would be lovely to see this patch merged in the main source tree. Attached is the patch implementing this. I have tested on my laptop (Ubuntu 14.04, x86_64) and the test suite passes: Regression PASSED: GNU Make 4.1.90 (x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu) built with gcc I am not 100% sure this is done correctly, it's my first contribution to GNU Make and the first time I am using Savannah. Please review this patch and tell me if I can improve it in any way for inclusion in the main source tree. Thanks in advance, -- Emanuele Santoro _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: mar 13 ott 2015 18:19:44 GMT Name: 0001-Implemented-J-automatic-variable-for-number-of-concu.patch Size: 3kB By: esantoro The patch implementing the #J variable <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=35186> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?46203> _______________________________________________ Messaggio inviato con/da Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Bug-make mailing list Bug-make@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-make
