Details:
I'm using GNU Make version 3.82 + the fix for bug#32872 (thanks for that).
Although the specific case in bug#32872 is fixed, I still see a problem
relating to pattern specific private variables.
With the following makefile (also attached):
%: P += pattern
%: private PP += pattern private
all: S += static
all: private SP += static private
all: ; @echo P=$(P); echo PP=$(PP); echo S=$(S); echo SP=$(SP)
I get the following output when building all:
P=pattern
PP=
S=static
SP=static private
However I expected to see:
P=pattern
PP=pattern private
S=static
SP=static private
It seems that addition with pattern-specific variables doesn't work if that
variable is marked as private. It does work if the variable is not private or
if using static target-specific variables, so I think the pattern-specific
private variable addition should also work.
