I've got the following makefile:
aoeu/aoeu: aoeu/
touch $@
%/:
mkdir -p $@
and get the following:
$ gmake
gmake: *** No rule to make target `aoeu', needed by `aoeu/aoeu'. Stop.
As a workaround for now, I'll append '.' to my rules.
