Hi all; I'm going to be on vacation next week with little or no access to the 'Net.
In the past when I've gone on vacation I've disabled moderation on the mailing lists while I was gone. This allows people to get help in a timely fashion, but it also lets through lots of spam (these lists typically get 3-4 spam messages per day). I will do that again this week, unless someone wants to volunteer to help moderate the lists while I'm gone. The work is very simple: you'll get email any time someone who is not subscribed to the list sends a message, and you click the link, enter the moderator's password and your email address, then click "approve" if it's OK or "discard" if it's not. I typically don't even bother to go to the web site for messages that are obviously spam (usually you can tell by the subject): I let the spam pile up until a legit message comes in, then take care of the whole thing. Anyway, if you're interested in helping and want keep your fellow list readers from seeing spam next week, please email me directly and give me the email address you used to subscribe. I'll take the first few people who respond for each list (if there are that many :)). Thanks all! -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul D.
