I hacked up make several times to have an option
to display makefiles read (which was recursive) -- similar
to gcc -H.
This was very, very useful -- especially understanding
foreign systems with confusing make architectures.
It should be easy to put in (I'll dig up my old patches).
What should I call it (--debug=??)
I have make 3.79, I assume 3.79.1 is where I should work.
