In real world music, I use <<\articulate>> in the score. The error is
reproducible whether or not I use <<\articulate>>.
I thought articulate.ly was *only* for \midi, and its modifications are
not intended to be printed.
Or is this an issue where the modifications are inappropriate resulting
in bad MIDI output?
