Did it ever run properly on GNU/Hurd in the past? In other words, has
the port been done before and become out of date or is it a bigger
problem than that?
There's no evidence that it has ever been ported to GNU/Hurd. I have got
it compiled and running but it crashes quite soon. I'll try to get it
working properly and then either get it merged upstream or provide local
patches.
What sort of timescale are you expecting?
