You probably just need to reinstall grub from the eventual booting
situation. You can do that from the installation cd by mounting the
harddisk, bind-mounting /dev in it, chrooting into it, and running
grub-setup in it.

There is no particular configuration, rumpdisk is always set up in the
grub.cfg file.
