I have split the patches up into logical pieces. Perhaps all can be merged except the last patch until we fix the selection of apic via kernel cmdline (?)
It now almost boots when you give it the right IRQ. I am not sure why it hangs just before "proc" is supposed to appear, but it probes and finds the disk wd0 device. Damien
