I don't understand. You wrote sshd, and now you write ssh, did
you actually meant ssh?  Perhaps what you meant is: "starting
/etc/init.d/sshd inside the qemu guest (forwarded on port 5557 by qemu),
ssh connections from the qemu host are not responding"?
