Hi, Unless things have changed in the past months, the gnumach packaged by Debian does not have the code to enable drivers in user space.
You'll have to compile gnumach from source using an alternative branch. Check DDE's guide by browsing to the address below. http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/hurd/dde/guide.html Happy hacking.
