Hello

I am interested in applying in GSoC this year for the Hurd. I have python
experience from my last year's GSoC project in python, although I don't have
much programming interface designing experience. I do have a deep interest in
the kernel architecture and OS in general.
I read the hhg and am reading other related documentation on the Hurd wiki,
I was able to run the Hurd Debian dist using qemu, and tried some of my newly
gained knowledge with the translators.

I cloned the code form the Savannah mercurial repo, tried to read into it and
understand what is happening.
I then tried installing PyHurd to do some testing, but I did not get much luck
there, I tried to use an older version of Cython which the module supports
but I could not compile the Cython (0.10.3) code on my Hurd installation, a
newer version though complies and installs fine. I am still looking into that.
Can I try making a patch?

What could I possibly look into as a 'task' to accomplish beforehand to maybe
investigate my capabilities and learn more?

Thanks!
